AN UTTER DELIGHT. The writing is smart and the delivery is hilarious. Marti Lyons seduces us with her seamless direction. One of the most fun, funniest shows I've seen... Do yourself a favor and see it.

Green fingers lead to bloody class warfare!
Karen Zacarias's hysterically funny comedy of manners comes to the Hartford Stage this spring! A four-hander that explores how all-out warfare occurs between next-door neighbours, the play follows a high-flying couple who purchase a new home next to a pair of elderly community stalwarts. They think that they have hit the jackpot. Until a row over fencing leaves their American dream more of a bust than a win...
Meet Pablo, a high-powered lawyer, and his heavily pregnant wife, Tania, a doctoral candidate. Having finally bought a new home in a nice neighborhood, they feel that their hard work has finally paid off. Frank and Virginia, who live next door to them, couldn't be more welcoming. But the bloom soon fades from the proverbial rose when Pablo and Tania decide to replace the ugly chain link fence separating their two gardens with a solid wooden one, which Frank and Virginia believe has encroached onto their property! The lines are firmly drawn in the garden, in what will be a bitter battle of taste, class, and entitlement.
