Death Of A Salesman

Why see Death Of A Salesman?

Arthur Miller's Pulitzer-winning classic

Arthur Miller's timeless, Pulitzer Prize-winning powerhouse drama, starring Peter Jacobson as Willy Loman, comes to you this winter, courtesy of Hartford Stage. Examining the flawed promise of the American Dream through the personal struggles of failed salesman Loman, Death Of A Salesman is one of the all-time great works of American theater.

What Is The Story?

Willy Loman thought he had done everything right: got married, went into business, had two kids... Now he's arrived home in the middle of the night after another failed business trip, exhausted, his self-esteem hanging by a thread. His sons aren't doing too much better - both are back living with their parents, struggling to get something going. As Willy's situation continues to spiral, his past starts to replay itself in front of his eyes - and the mistakes and regrets are piling up. The American Dream wasn't supposed to be like this.
