TOO MUCH SCREAMING AND TOO CLICHE

I thought that the characters was too contrived and cliche. The music sounded like screaming much of the time. That may have been due to poor acoustics and the fact that Morissette's music sometimes seems a little angry and without her special voice can translate into screaming. The sets were pretty good and some of the dancing was fantastic but didn't see to fit well.

WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS SHOW…

The sound system was horrible. Just loud and had issues picking out the words of songs…sometimes just sounded like yelling. Couldn’t get into the play. Very dark subject matter. Guess I’m more a fan of uplifting plays. Left at intermission time…couldn’t face sticking around for the rest of the show.

SOUND SYSTEM REALLY BAD!!

There were 10 previous reviews about how bad the sound system is and it doesn't sound like anyone from the musical has bothered to read the reviews and correct the problem. WAY TOO LOUD and too much yelling when they were singing, couldn't understand the lyrics except when Chris Hoch who played the father was singing. Wish I would have had ear plugs. Hope someone pays attention to the reviews and fixes the sound system.

JAGGED LITTLE PILL - HOUSTON

I always loved Alanis Morissette’s music and she has a spectacular voice so for me it’s hard to hear someone who can’t match her vocals - but the staging was spectacular, the story line was gripping, and I thoroughly enjoyed the music. It’s too bad they couldn’t find the voices to match.

BORING LOUSY CAST

Saw this in Toronto it is a very slow moving production. The cast showed little or no emotion they seemed to be doing a job not entertaining people. The singing for the most part we felt amateurish. I would not recommend seeing it

CANNED MUSIC , DISTORTION, BAD SOUND.

There were serious sound issues, which washed out the first hour of the show. As the story line deepened, it’s impact was lessened. It’s a shame. The impact album of the 90’s deserves better. The cast is performing but their work isn’t being delivered properly due to tech issues. I fell bad for them.

Maybe we are a little too old. That said, we’re fans of Alanis Morrisette. The sound system was horrible, the crowd was noisy, young, and maybe didn’t know what a good musical should sound like. Left very early!
